Toiletry Items (Tooth brush, Paste, Bath Soaps, Shampoo and Comb) 10. Coconut Oil 11. Baby food (Feeding Bottle, Nestle Milk Powder, Cerelac) 12. Snacks 13. Pickles 14. Grocery Items 15. Rajanna, the Minister for Cooperation in Government of Karnataka, has been actively involved in supporting the Indian Red Cross Society, Karnataka State Branch (IRCS, KSB), in their efforts to provide relief to flood victims in Kerala. The IRCS, KSB, under the leadership of Chairman Sri. Vijay Kumar Patil Shavanthgera and General Secretary H.S. Balasubramanya, has been coordinating the distribution of essential relief materials to the affected areas in Kerala. Chairman Sri. Vijay Kumar Patil Shavanthgera, Sri. Anand S Jigajinni-Vice Chairman, Hon Treasurer-Sri. Yathish Baikampady and General Secretary H.S. Balasubramanya, and the staff of IRCS, KSB have been working together to ensure that these essential supplies reach the flood victims promptly. Their efforts demonstrate the commitment of the Indian Red Cross Society, Karnataka State Branch to providing humanitarian aid during times of crisis. Shri Abhinava Gavisiddeshwara Mahaswamiji visited the Indian Red Cross Society, Karnataka State Branch, on December 15, 2024, and met the staff. During the visit, the Blood Bank staff explained the process of blood collection, blood donation camps, testing, and storage. They also provided details about the Junior Red Cross, Youth Red Cross, First Aid training and awareness programs, cancer awareness initiatives, disaster relief efforts, and other services of the Red Cross. The Swamiji was informed that the Karnataka State Branch operates the only fully equipped Blood Bank in the state, working 24/7 in three shifts to serve the community. Shri Abhinava Gavisiddeshwara Mahaswamiji appreciated the dedicated work of the staff and management, praising their unwavering commitment to serving humanity. He highlighted the importance of the Red Cross in saving lives and promoting health and safety. The Swamiji lauded the efforts of the organization in reaching even the most remote areas through its district branches. He encouraged the team to continue their noble work and assured his support for future initiatives. As a mark of respect and gratitude, the Red Cross honored Shri Abhinava Gavisiddeshwara Mahaswamiji during his visit and sought his blessings for their ongoing and future endeavors. Additionally, information was shared about the 31 district branches in Karnataka through which the Red Cross provides services to the community.
